Canal -
Canal + is a global streaming platform faced with the reality that 57% of viewers abandon their search from decision fatigue. To combat the churn, Canal - gives the viewer what they want when they want it.
Design:
First we redesigned the canal interface introducing a toggle from + to -. Where - only gives you one recommendation based on your watch history and Canal’s AI matching algorithm.
Social:
Then we showed up on sparking conversation with minimal messaging driving our point home.
The Hack:
Finally, we extended the Canal - magic by hacking competitors websites so when viewers add /canalminus to the url, everything canal wouldn’t recommend gets blurred out, leaving only what’s worth watching.
